Windermere Hotel

Heading the procession of small hotels that are strung out along Warwick Way, the Windermere is a comfortable, traditionally decked-out London hotel with, thankfully, no aspirations to boutique status. The decor may be showing its age a bit in the hall, but you’ll receive a warm welcome and excellent service – there are over a dozen staff for just 20 rooms. There’s a cosy basement restaurant-bar, where the breakfasts are top-notch.
