La-Yam was born from a simple idea: that the best moments happen when people come together in unexpected places. We took an overlooked rooftop on the 8th floor of Kingsbourne House — right above Holborn Station — and turned it into Holborn's only open-air rooftop bar.
The name "La-Yam" draws from Hebrew, meaning "to the sea." It captures our Mediterranean spirit — the warmth of the coast, the generosity of shared plates, and the easy rhythm of long evenings with good company. We brought that energy to the heart of Central London.
La-Yam has become a favourite among Holborn locals, city professionals, and curious Londoners looking for something different. We're not trying to be the biggest or the loudest — we've created a space that feels genuinely warm, where the food is honest, the cocktails are thoughtful, and the view does the rest.
