A Panificação Mecânica

Chandeliers, tiles depicting ears of wheat, coloured enamel pillars, painted moulded ceilings and wall mirrors make this one of Lisbon's most over-the-top pastelarias. It has been supplying the middle classes and local businesses with top-notch bread and cakes for more than a century. There's no seating area, but you can stand at the high table or counter for a drink and a snack.
