This multipurpose indoor stadium has been around since the ’50s, but its swimming pool is still in good condition. Also take advantage of their wushu, lion dance, chorus, calligraphy, Chinese music classes and more, which are offered by the Chinwoo Athletic Association.
A five-minute walk from Taman Jaya LRT station, this sports centre houses two clean, well-kept pools: a 50m with eight lanes and a kiddie. Towel and swimwear rental is available. After your swim, fill your stomach at Jam & Kaya Café, which is just next to the pool.

As part of the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex, the National Aquatic Centre is home to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, an eight-lane training pool and a diving pool equipped with a drop tower and three platforms. There are swimming classes offered by D Swim Academy.
For hot days, dive down the 50m pool, one of the marginally cleaner pools in KL. Alternatively you can also go from dusk onwards as the pool is brightly lit at night. Water polo players practise on Saturdays, while Sundays are popular for family swims.

An outdoor community swimming pool, the complex looks tattered with its tarnished lifeguard stands and stinky toilets. Lockers are unavailable so you’ll have to drape your towel over the benches. However, this 25m lido is still a pleasure to swim in.
