Barbershop by day and boozy gallery-splash-bar by night, Dead Poets is a multitasking space on Graham Street that’s taking Hong Kong tea culture and modern mixology to the next level with its new beverage series: alcoholic boba tea cocktails. Four different ‘spiked’ boba tea drinks are on offer, including the Dandy Hong Kong Smoked Milk Tea, Fresh Citrus Jasmine Highball Tea, Ice Lemon Citrus Boba, and Pure Grapefruit Hibiscus Tea. All of these boba tea creations can be kept non-alcoholic or zhuzhed up and turned into a cocktail with a healthy splash of rum, whisky, gin, vodka, or tequila – your choice.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 28, because Dead Poets will be hard-launching its spiked boba tea series at a high-energy event from 4pm to 7pm. Designed as Hong Kong’s first ‘spiked boba rave’, DJ BB Lamb will be spinning hip-hop, R&B, and chart-toppers for party-goers to bop to. Each ticket ($150) includes entry and one spiked or zero-percent-ABV boba tea, and are available for purchase now on Eventbrite.
Dead Poets’ spiked boba tea menu is available from February 16 to May 16, so there’s plenty of time to swing by and try them out even if you miss the rave. At $50 per drink, these fun bevvies are the perfect way to cool down as the temperatures rise again.
