Time Out says

Mark your calendars – the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade will happen on Tuesday, February 17, the first day of the Lunar New Year. Major sponsors and participating event partners will be launching 12 different floats to wow the crowd, including Cathay Pacific’s aircraft-themed display, the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s moving installation with this year’s zodiac animal, a festive Disney-themed presentation for Hong Kong Disneyland, a train-themed float from McDonald’s Hong Kong inspired by its iconic 1980s restaurants, and more.

There will also be pre-parade performances starting at 6pm to drum up excitement, so expect performing troupes from around the world, lion and dragon dances, magic, and acrobatic rope skipping.
