June is a great month in Hong Kong. The temperature is just cool enough to keep us from melting into the ground, which makes it the perfect time to challenge yourself with the best hiking trails in Hong Kong, and even if the weather is a bummer, there are still plenty of fun indoor activities to keep you entertained while staying dry. Read on to see what the city has in store for us this month.

Looking for some fun under the sun? SummerFest 2025 has you covered with free activities for all. Dive into Bambooscape, featuring six unique bamboo art installations by architects from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan, showcasing the city’s scaffolding heritage in bold and creative ways. You’ll also find over 25 pop-up events from May 30 to August 3 at both Wan Chai and Central Harbourfront, like the WanderFest outdoor markets on June 21 and 22, the Mermazing Summer Splash from June 28 to 29, and many more. Returning to the original site that inspired it all, the Kowloon Walled City: A Cinematic Journey movie set exhibition showcases the incredible details and efforts that went into creating the award-winning film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. Visitors will be taken back to the 1980s of the infamous Kowloon Walled City, where they can literally immerse themselves in another world and explore meticulously recreated shops and scenesfrom the movie.
