Myka Greek Frozen Yogurt opens in Hong Kong for its first Asia location

How many frozen desserts can we eat in a day? A lot, apparently, because yet another brand has joined the barrage of ice cream and gelato shops that have recently opened in Hong Kong. Head to Central to find Myka Greek Frozen Yogurt, the Madrid brand’s first branch in Asia.

Rather than an industrial powder mix, Myka uses authentic Greek yoghurt and goat’s milk with live cultures and strained yoghurt as their base. Choose from original or caramel yoghurt, or seasonal flavours that change monthly, then finish things off with over 25 toppings. Our favourites are olive oil, honey, and pistachio, but there are also delicious options like fleur de sel chocolate crumble, Amareno cherries, reduced-sugar baklava, fruit compotes, and more.

Seasonal sorbets are also on the menu if you don’t want a yoghurt: right now the flavour is guava, which is perfect for chasing away the last of this summer heat. The Hong Kong flagship has a production kitchen which churns out all their frozen yoghurt and artisanal toppings in-house, so you can be assured it’s all fresh. 

Prices start from $58.90 for a small cup with one topping, followed by $71.90 for a medium size with two toppings, and up to $84.90 for a large serving with three toppings. It definitely runs a little pricey, but we suppose that’s what it takes for high-protein, low-lactose treats with quality ingredients!
