Time Out tip: Bishop Arts District is just 15 minutes away, and so is the Combs Creek Trail - both perfect for a day of calm strolling.

This super cute tiny-home-on-wheels had us smiling. The sheer dedication to the color yellow is quite admirable, but it's intensely practical as well as pretty: a third guest can stay on a fold out Murphy bed, there's a full kitchen, and even a fully-plumbed bathroom, which can be rare for tiny homes. There’s also a teeny patio table for morning coffee and a lovely firepit area to spend time around in the evening. Pint-sized perfection, and very affordable too. 

Time Out tip: The Santa Fe trail is just a short walk from the house, as is Dallas Famers Market, so why not grab some brunch and get strolling?

The owners of this lovely guest apartment both work in the creative industries, and they've clearly had a lot of fun with the interiors. There are two matching bedrooms with memory foam mattresses, a very nice bathroom with a two-person shower, and a living room with a huge sectional sofa. But the best bit might be the leafy backyard, where guests can make use of the pool and hot tub before retreating to the private balcony overlooking it all. It's only 500 sq ft, but they've squeezed a lot into it.

Time Out tip: You're in historic Winnetka Heights, close to Bishop Arts, so there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques nearby when you can tear yourself away from the pool.
