The Chicago Air and Water Show, one of summer's most beloved spectacles, will return to the city in roaring form on August 16-17 this year. The iconic (and free) two-day event—which famously features a headlining performance from the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights—brings an array of flying acts to the Chicago lakefront. When is the 2025 Chicago Air and Water Show?

The Chicago Air and Water Show takes over the lakefront on August 16 and 17 from 10:30am through 3pm each day. Before that, there will be a rehearsal on Friday, August 15.

Where is the 2025 Chicago Air and Water Show?

The event centers around the skies above North Avenue Beach, with visibility along the lakefront between Fullerton Avenue and Oak Street. 

Who is performing?

This year's lineup includes the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights, U.S Air Force C-17, Illinois Air National Guard KC-135, Maryland Air National Guard A-10's, U.S Coast Guard Search & Rescue, U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 (Osprey) and more.
