To determine the top spots, the camping platform analysed booking, rating and review data from more than 8 million users across 60,000 Aussie properties.
Along with state winners, the 2026 awards spotlighted the best newcomer Hipcamps. From countryside cattle stations and fairytale forest glamping to quiet hilltop farms and ocean-view sites, these are the 15 campgrounds that have made a name for themselves in just a short period of time – listed in no particular order.
